Manufacturing Engineering and Science

Description:
Manufacturing technology and science are playing a vital role in diverse engineering fields and industrial sectors. Many engineering materials require a precise manufacturing process to achieve dimensional and quality integrity. Manufacturing techniques such as turning, milling, drilling, non-conventional machining or additive manufacturing are been extensively used to fabricate a variety of industrial materials including the metals, alloys, steels, polymers, ceramics, composites, biomaterials, etc. To effectively control the manufacturing processes, a scientific understanding of the mechanisms controlling the material removal process is of vital importance.

This symposium in ICCES2020 aims to provide an outstanding forum for papers covering applications-based research topics relevant to manufacturing processes, machining techniques and science. It is committed to disseminating the recent advances and achievements reporting on the fields of engineering and science of both traditional and nontraditional manufacturing processes. Original scientific and technical papers and review articles concerning the relevant topics are all welcome.

Topics (not restricted to):
  • Additive manufacturing
  • Machining and forming technology
  • Non-traditional material removal processes
  • Materials joining
  • Laser technology and applications
  • Micro and nano-machining
  • Precision engineering, inspection, measurement and metrology
  • Sustainable and green manufacturing techniques
  • Computer-integrated manufacturing systems
  • Computational modeling techniques in manufacturing operations
  • Manufacturing planning, optimization and simulation
  • Smart manufacturing
  • Virtual manufacturing

Keywords:
manufacturing techniques, machining science, traditional manufacturing, nontraditional manufacturing, additive manufacturing, micro/nano manufacturing, precision manufacturing, sustainable/green manufacturing, smart manufacturing, virtual manufacturing.
