Satya N. Atluri Award is a Medal awarded by ICCES (International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences) and the Tech Science Press to an individual who has had a significant impact on the world of engineering, the sciences, and commerce, and the well-being of the society at large as a result.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This Medal is awarded to an individual, from anywhere in the world, for sustained and significant contributions in the form of research, teaching, and service to the community, in any area germane to the ICCES series of conferences. The sum total of contributions over a career spanning many years is taken into account. The minimum age of the recipient is expected to be 60 years, and may be given on the occasion of the celebration of any birth anniversary of the individual after the age of 60, at an ICCES conference.
Eric Reissner Award
ICCES Eric Reissner Award is given to a researcher, from anywhere in the world, in recognition of her/his contributions to any area germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES. This award honors Professor Eric Reissner, who for nearly 60 years at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at University of California San Diego, played a significant role in educating several generations of students in the areas of theoretical, applied, and computational mechanics.
ICCES Distinguished Fellow
ICCES Distinguished Fellow is a prestigious recognition to a distinguished researcher or scholar who has made significant contributions to the field germane to the ICCES series of conferences. To be considered for this honor, the individual must should be scholars with expertise that match well with the focus area for the award and should participate actively in ICCES events.
Wei-zang Chien Award
Wei-zang Chien Award is awarded to a researcher who have made significant technological innovations and breakthroughs in the field of Mechanics. This Medal honors Professor Wei-Zang Chien who made seminal contributions to applied mathematics and mechanics for nearly one hundred years of his life.
T. H. H. Pian Award
T. H. H. Pian Award is given to a researcher, from anywhere in the world, in recognition of her/his contributions to any area germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES. This award honors Professor T. H. H. Pian, who for nearly 50 years at MIT, played a significant role in educating several generations of students in the areas of structural and computational mechanics.
Kobayashi award is given to an individual, from anywhere in the world, for worthy contributions in the category of Experimental Science, in any area germane to ICCES. This award is named after Professor Albert Kobayashi (of the University of Washington), who made significant contributions to research and education in experimental mechanics, for over 50 years.
